Cathedral of Christ the King, Sharpsburg, Hosts Clericus
In November, between 80 and 100 clergy and wives from across the Archdiocese of the Southeast gathered in Georgia at the Cathedral of Christ the King, Sharpsburg, for fellowship, teaching, and inspiration. The general areas of discussion at the 2019 Clericus of the Archdiocese of the Southeast centered upon that which makes for a healthy church.
Patriarch Craig Bates was the keynote speaker while Archbishop Charles “Chuck” Jones, Bishop David Simpson, and Bishop David Epps spoke in daytime sessions. Bishop Gene Lilly joined the other bishops for a question and answer session. Cathy Bates spoke to the clergy wives and was later joined by Olivia Jones, and Cindy Epps in their own Q & A session with the wives. Worship at the closing Eucharist was provided by the Christ the King (GA) Worship Ministry under the leadership of Robert Lowrie.
